Add Multiple Employee Salaries Simultaneously

This guide assumes the employee has already been created. If your employees do not have any salary skip to Step 2. If they already have salaries, start from step 1 and move to step 2 for each employee.

Step 1:

Navigate to the Employees Table and from the Reports & Charts drop down select: Employee Salary Report. Grid edit this report and fill in the date for the "Set Current Salary End Date (Automation) for each employee you would like to give a new salary. (You cannot add new salaries before you set an end date for the previous salary).

Step 2:

Navigate to the Employees Table and from the Reports & Charts drop down select: Set New Employee Salaries (ADVANCED). Please note, this method of adding new employee's is advanced and the form must be used correctly. Check that the employee(s) you would like to give new salaries to no longer have a Current Yearly Salary associated to their record. (It will show up as blank).

Step 3:

Grid edit this report and fill in the following REQUIRED FIELDS: Set New Salary Start Date (Automation) Set New Yearly Salary (Automation) Set New Salary Pay Rate (Automation)

Step 4:

The following fields are conditional and normally would be filtered if you were adding employee salaries one-by-one: Set New Salary Docking Rate (Automation) -- Fill in this field if the docking rate is custom for your employee. Use Custom Salary Docking Rate for New Salary (Automation) -- Check this box ONLY if you are filling in the Salary Docking Rate. Set X (Calculate Pay Rate) (Automation) -- ONLY fill in this field if your pay rate uses the X variable for a custom number of hours. Set X (Calculate Docking Rate) (Automation) -- ONLY fill in this field if your docking rate uses the X variable for a custom number of hours.

Step 5:

Save and close the report after you have added all of the fields required for your work correctly.

*After 5-10 seconds the automation will run and all of your employees will have salaries. Next you will want to add a new Pay Groups to the Salary to create the necessary information for this employee's time cards to be created. **Please remember that while adding employees this way is extremely fast, you loose the caution tape and guided experience of the form when you add one employee salary at a time.
